Mapbox API
The need arose to use the GPS coordinates for a delivery system to accurately find the most efficient routes for delivery drivers of a large scale agricultural delivery. Using the Mapbox API’s Geocoding and Directions tools, I was able to build out a custom solution to manage their delivery routes and analyze the routes for further improvement. I was interested in integrating IBM’s Watson to find the most optimal delivery routes, however, the budget for the project did not allow me to pursue this further. In the end I developed an effective API for the clients needs.
This project allowed me to utilize my GIS skills and push my understanding of API’s and REST principles to their limits.
